Vela International Marine Limited is one of the largest crude oil tanker companies in the world.  Vela is the tanker owner and operator subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco). Vela currently owns and operates a modern fleet of 15 Very Large Crude Oil Carriers (VLCC). Our VLCCs conduct trade primarily between the Middle East, Europe and the United States Gulf Coast.
 
Vela also owns and operates five product tankers that are designed to transport petroleum based products.  These vessels perform coastal trade chiefly in the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf. Vela is committed to continue building the most modern, high-quality tankers in the world.

Vela employs approximately 800 seafarers and 150 shore staff of many nationalities from across the globe.
