As one of the largest crude oil tanker companies in the world, Vela is a multinational organization that conducts a wide variety of business undertakings, both onshore and at sea. Our scope of activities includes vessel operations, fleet personnel management, scheduling, chartering, dry-docking, quality assurance efforts and new construction programs for crude oil and product vessels. All of our marine operations are supported by onshore personnel who perform contracting, purchasing, accounting, information technology and planning functions.
