Vela Chartering
As a marine company involved in the transportation of crude oil and hydrocarbons, Vela International Marine Limited is well known in the chartering market. Vela charters many vessels of varying sizes each year. Only ships that meet all maritime safety and environmental rules and regulations and that pass all inter-company prerequisites and conditions will be considered for charter by Vela. Vela charters product ships and crude carriers in three different ways: time charters, spot charters and bareboat charters. The type of charter will depend largely on the cargo to be transported.
We mainly ship crude oil, refined products, and dry cargos (usually sulfur). Chartered VLCCs ply international routes ranging from Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, to the United States Gulf Coast and Europe. Smaller ships for refined products generally move between Saudi Arabian ports in the Arabian Gulf and the Red Sea. Additionally, Vela charters dry cargo ships to transport sulfur that is destined for export from Saudi Arabia.
